Terms of service

These terms apply when you use this site to apply for a job. Please read them. They are short on purpose.

This service is operated by Van Nice & Co LLC, doing business as Steady Roster (“we”, “us”).

We are not the employer

This is the most important thing on this page.

We are not hiring you. The home care agency whose job you applied for is the employer. They decide who to interview and who to hire. We provide the software they use to receive your application and reply to it quickly.

We do not make hiring decisions, do not employ caregivers, and cannot tell you whether you got the job. Questions about the role, pay, schedule, or the status of your application go to the agency.

What the service does

When you submit an application:

  1. Your details go to the agency you applied to.
  2. If you consented, we text you on that agency’s behalf, usually within seconds.
  3. If you reply, we ask a short set of fixed questions and record your answers.
  4. If your answers meet the agency’s stated requirements, we offer you interview times.
  5. The agency receives a summary of what you told us.

A person decides who is hired. The questions are fixed and the same for everyone applying to that role.

Using this form

You agree that:

  • The phone number you give is yours. This matters more than it sounds. If you enter someone else’s number, we will text a person who never applied for anything. Give us a number you control.
  • The information you give is accurate, and you are applying for yourself. Do not submit an application on behalf of another person.
  • You are 18 or older.
  • You will not use automated tools to submit applications, submit repeatedly to flood the service, or attempt to interfere with it.

We may decline or remove any submission that breaks these terms, and we may limit how often the form can be used from one place.

Text messages

You receive texts because you applied and agreed to receive them at that moment. Full detail is in our privacy policy.

  • Reply STOP at any time. You will get one confirmation and nothing further.
  • Reply HELP for help, or START to opt back in.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Consent to receive texts is not a condition of employment, and choosing not to receive them does not remove you from consideration.

What we do not promise

  • No guarantee of employment, an interview, or a reply. That is the agency’s decision.
  • No guarantee the service is always available. We aim for it to work; we do not promise it always will.
  • Booking an interview time reserves that time with the agency. We do not control whether the agency attends, reschedules, or cancels.

Your information

How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we pass your application to the agency you applied to and to nobody else, and we never sell or share your phone number or your consent to receive texts.

Liability

We provide this service as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including any hiring decision made by an agency.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects your rights against the agency as a job applicant or employee.

Changes

We may update these terms. Each version has an effective date, and the version in force when you applied is the one that governs your application. Material changes will be shown on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], and any dispute will be heard in the courts of [COUNTY, STATE].
