Privacy policy
Effective 25 August 2026.
This service is operated by Van Nice & Co LLC, doing business as Steady Roster (“we”, “us”). It explains what we do with information about caregivers who apply for a job through an agency using our software, and about the agency staff who use it.
Your mobile number and your opt-in consent
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile opt-in consent or your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
Consent to receive text messages is collected solely to communicate with you about the position you applied for, and is not shared with any third party for their own marketing.
What we collect, and from whom
Two populations, and they are not treated the same.
Candidates: the people who receive messages
| Name, phone number, email | From your application, or from the job board you applied through |
| Your replies to our screening questions | Stored as structured answers; the conversation is retained separately |
| Interview time, attendance | From the agency’s recruiter |
| Consent record | The wording you agreed to, when, from what IP and browser |
Agency staff: the customers
Name, work email, role, and sign-in records.
What we do with it
We pass your application details to the agency you applied to and to nobody else. We use the aggregate to run and improve the service.
We do not sell it. We do not share it with other agencies on our platform, including agencies in your area hiring for the same role.
Text messages
You receive texts because you applied for a job and consented at that moment.
- Reply STOP at any time. You will receive one confirmation and nothing further.
- Reply HELP for assistance, or START to opt back in.
- Message frequency varies with your application. Message and data rates may apply.
- Consent is not a condition of employment.
An opt-out applies to the agency that messaged you. If you applied to more than one agency using this service, each holds its own consent, given at a different time and to a different party, so stopping one does not stop the others. To stop them all, reply STOP to each.
How long we keep it
| The text of your conversation | 12 months, then deleted |
| Message records: times, delivery status, no content | 4 years |
| Your consent record | At least 4 years, and it survives the agency closing its account |
| Your application details | Until the agency deletes them |
Backups add up to 35 days to every deletion above. We state that rather than rounding it away.
Consent records outlive everything else deliberately. If a dispute arises about a message we sent, the record of your consent is the evidence, including evidence of your own agreement. That is why we keep it even after an agency stops being a customer.
Your choices
Stop the texts with STOP. Ask the agency you applied to for a copy of your application, or to delete it.
A deletion request and the consent record above are in tension, and we say so rather than implying otherwise. We remove your application details; the consent record is retained as legal evidence. Where a law requires otherwise, the law wins.
Automated decisions
A person decides who is hired. We do not.
The service asks a fixed set of questions and records your answers. It does not score you, rank you, or predict anything about you. Answers are checked against requirements the agency stated in advance, identically for every applicant.
